New name for Region V Division III Conference

As of Aug. 1, NJCAA Region V has a new conference.

The former Metro Athletic Conference, which comprised NJCAA Division III schools from the Dallas County Community College District, has been rebranded to the Dallas Athletic Conference (DAC).

"Our DCCCD Athletic Council and Presidents felt that this rebranding would provide a more solid and impactful identity for our conference moving forward," said DAC Commissioner Charles Clausen. "In the past, there has been confusion in our identity with other MAC branded athletic conferences and associations across the country. We are both proud and excited to honor the many accomplishments from our MAC past, as we move forward to the future of the Dallas Athletic Conference. Along with our name, our marketing department has worked to provide us with a exciting new conference LOGO that accents the Dallas County Community College District and the great City of Dallas, Texas."
