McLennan takes Region V Division I Baseball Championship

 

The McLennan Highlanders defeated Weatherford twice to claim the championship of the Region V Baseball Tournament in Lubbock.

After falling to Weatherford on Saturday, the Highlanders bounced back with wins over New Mexico Junior College, Odessa and Grayson to reach the championship, where they needed to beat Weatherford twice. They did exactly that.

McLennan will now move on to the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, Colo.
