NMJC outfielder throws at first pitch in MLB series in London

New Mexico Junior College Thunderbirds baseball outfielder Ollie Thompson threw out the first pitch in London last weekend at a New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox game.

Thompson is from London and will be returning to New Mexico Junior College for the 2019-20 baseball season as a sophomore.

The Great Britain national team is ranked 38th in the world, just behind Lithuania, and has never qualified for the World Baseball Classic. It is creeping closer under Manager Liam Carroll, and its fortunes could be bolstered in the near future by the addition of Thompson.
