Iredale, Boudreau net WJCAC Baseball Player of the Week honors
Brent Iredale of New Mexico Junior College and Tyler Boudreau of Midland College were named the Western Junior College Athletic Conference's Baseball Players of the Week.
A sophomore third baseman from Sydney, Australia, Iredale was tabbed the WJCAC Position Player of the Week. Overall, he batted .615 with two doubles, a triple and a home run. He drove in 10 runners during the week, while stealing four bases and scoring eight times. He posted an OPS of 1.87 and an on-base percentage of .722.
A sophomore right-hander from Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Boudreau was named the WJCAC Pitcher of the Week after recording a complete game shutout in the Chaps' win over El Paso. In the game, he allowed just three hits – and a total of just five baserunners – in 7 innings on the bump. He finished the contest with 11 strikeouts.
