Freshcorn, Flores named NTJCAC Baseball Players of the Week

Clayton Freshcorn of McLennan Community College and Sam Flores of McLennan Community College were selected the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Baseball Players of the Week.

A freshman right-hander from Waller, Texas, Freshcorn was named the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week. He was the pitcher of record in a 3-2 loss to No. 8-ranked Weatherford. In the game, he allowed just 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 8 in 5 innings of work.

A sophomore third baseman from Lufkin, Texas, Flores was the NTJCAC Position Player of the Week. He batted .500 for the week, going 6-for-12 from the plate with 5 walks.
