Region V Men's Basketball Players of the Week (Feb. 11-17)

Region V has announced the Men's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Feb. 11-17.

The North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Garrett Shaw of McLennan Community College.

The 6-4 freshman guard from Mansfield, TX set a new career high with 17 points in the Highlanders' win over Weatherford. For the week, he had 33 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. He was 11 of 17 from the field and hit 6 three-pointers.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Reece Brooks of Clarendon College.

The 5-9 sophomore point guard from Brampton, Ontario had 26 points, 6 assists and 3 steals in an overtime win over Howard. For the game, he was 8 of 10 from the field and a perfect 6 of 6 from the free-throw line.

The Metro Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Brayin Lanehart of Mountain View College.

The 6-1 sophomore guard from Lewisville, TX had a total of 63 points in 2 games played last week. He was 9 of 11 from the three-point line in a win against Cedar Valley. He hit 6 more three-pointers against Brookhaven. For the week, he also had 3 assists, 4 steals and 6 rebounds.
