Region V Men's Basketball Player of the Week (Dec. 18)

Region V has announced the Men's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Dec. 9-15.

The North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Mike Adewumni of McLennan Community College.

The 6-5 sophomore guard from Dallas, Texas scored a game-high 26 points in the Highlanders' 109-80 victory over Concordia University JV. He was 11 of 19 from the field including 4 of 8 on 3-pointers. He also added 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.

The Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Larry Rusk, Jr., of Cedar Valley College.

The 5-11 freshman guard from Dallas, TX had a great week for the Suns in their three victories before the holiday break. He recorded two triple-doubles last week. In one of the games he scored 31 points and 11 rebounds and 10 assists. He followed that with a 13 point, 10 rebound, 10 assist performance.

There were no nominations for Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
