Region V Men's Basketball Player of the Week (Jan. 1)

Region V has announced the Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 23-29.

The North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Mike Adewumni of McLennan Community College.

The 6-5 sophomore guard from Dallas, Texas led the Highlanders with 32 points in a victory over Angelina College. He scored 23 points, including 12 of the team's first 16 points, in the first half.

The Dallas Athletic Conference and the Western Junior College Athletic Conference did not select a Player of the Week this week.
