Region V Men's Basketball Player of the Week (Jan. 8)

Region V has announced the Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 30 – Jan. 5.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Johnnie Jones from Western Texas College.

The 6-11 sophomore center from Chicago, IL had 34 points and 30 rebounds in 2 games played last week. He was 10 of 14 from the field and 14 of 17 from the free throw line. He also blocked 4 shots.

The North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference and the Dallas Athletic Conference did not receive any nominations this week.
