Region V Men's Basketball Players of the Week (Jan. 15)

Region V has announced the Men's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Jan. 6-12.

The North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Taz Sherman from Collin College.

The 6-1 sophomore guard from Missouri City, TX scored 74 points and added 13 assists and 9 rebounds in two games played last week, averaging 37 points per game in wins over Hill and Ranger. He scored 46 points against Ranger. He went 36 of 40 from the free throw line for the week.

The Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Rashaun Coleman from Eastfield College.

The 5-10 sophomore point guard from Houston, TX had 54 points, 14 assists and 12 rebounds in 2 games played last week. He was 21 of 37 from the field, 6 of 10 on 3-pointers and 10 of 14 from the free throw line.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference did not receive any nominations this week.
