Region V Men's Basketball Player of the Week (Jan. 29)

Region V has announced the Men's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Jan. 20-26.

The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Xavier Armstead of McLennan Community College.

The 6-5 sophomore guard from Waco, TX played in three games last week, scoring 66 points with 14 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals. He had 26 points against Temple College and 27 points against Grayson College.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Gaige Prim of South Plains College.

The 6-9 sophomore forward from Aurora, CO had 21 points and 9 rebounds in one game last week. He added 3 assists and 2 blocked shots while shooting 9 of 13 from the field.

The Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Rashaun Coleman of Eastfield College.

The 5-10 sophomore point guard from Houston, TX scored 36 points in two games played last week with 16 rebounds and 20 assists. He was 15 of 23 from the field for the week.
