Temple's Kirby Johnson picks up 800th career win
Temple College head men's basketball coach Kirby Johnson won his 800th career game on Feb. 27 to close out the 2018-19 regular season.
Johnson is completing his 37th season as a head coach, with his overall record standing at 800-352. He coached at Temple High School for 5 years, from 1982-87, and had a career record of 109-54 in those 5 years. Coach Johnson's career record at Temple College, so far, is 691-298 in his 32nd year at Temple College.
Temple College has competed in Region V for his last 29 years and in that time his teams have qualified for the regional tournament 27 times.
