Region V Men's Basketball Players of the Week (Dec. 10)

Region V has announced the Men's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Dec. 1-7.

The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Brayan Au of Ranger College.

Au led his team to a 4-0 record for the week to help keep his team undefeated on the year at 15-0. For the week, he scored 56 points, had 27 rebounds, and 26 assists culminated by a triple-double against Eastfield when he had 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.

The Western Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Tafari Simms of Western Texas College.

The 6-6 sophomore from Hamilton, Ontario averaged 18.5 points and 6.5 rebounds last week. He was 13 of 23 from the field and 7 of 8 from the free throw line.

The Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Javon Modester of Richland College.

The 5-10 sophomore guard from Denton, TX averaged 15 points, 4 assists and 2 steals for Richland while leading his team to two wins over NJCAA Division I teams.
