Region V Men's Basketball Players of the Week (Jan. 14)

Region V has announced the Men's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Jan. 5-11

The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Kedrian Johnson of Temple College.

The 6-3 sophomore guard from Dallas, TX scored 46 points against Grayson included 23-straight made free throws in a row. He followed that up with 45 points against Weatherford. For the week, he went 34 of 37 from the free throw line and also dished out 11 assists and had 8 steals.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Tafari Simms of Western Texas College.

The 6-6 sophomore forward from Ontario, Canada averaged 19 points and 9 rebounds in a pair of wins last week. He also blocked two shots.

The Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Calvin Williams of Eastfield College.

The 5-11 freshman point guard from Houston, TX averaged 20.5 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in two games played last week. He also had 5 steals and one blocked shot.
