Region V Men's Basketball Players of the Week (Feb. 4)

Region V has announced the Men's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Jan. 26 – Feb. 1.

The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is DJ Thomas of Grayson College.

The 5-7 freshman point guard from Raleigh, NC averaged 36.5 points for the week that included an upset win over Ranger College. He was 22 of 37 from the field, 9 of 15 on 3-pointers and 20 of 23 from the free throw line. He also had 7 assists and 3 steals in 2 games.

The Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week is D'Angelgo Smith of Eastfield College.

The 6-2 sophomore forward from Houston, TX had 22 points, 12 rebounds and 3 steals in his one game played last week. He went 10 of 14 from the field.
