Region V Men's Basketball Players of the Week (Feb. 18)

Region V has announced the Men's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Feb. 9-15.

The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Rodrique Massenat of McLennan Community College.

The 6-4 sophomore guard from Trenton, NJ scored 23 points off the bench to lead the Highlanders to a win at Hill College. He made 6 three pointers and shot 75 percent from the free throw line.

The Western Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Ben Smith of Western Texas College.

The 6-6 freshman forward from Edmond, OK scored 31 points with 7 rebounds and 3 assists in his team's only game last week. He was 13 of 17 from the field including 4 of 5 on 3-pointers.

The Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week is D'Angelo Smith of Eastfield College.

The 6-2 sophomore forward from Houston, TX averaged 26 points and 17 rebounds in two games last week. Against North Lake, he scored 28 and pulled down 23 rebounds.
