Odessa men's golf wins District 2 Championship

The Odessa College Golf team, ranked #13 in the nation, won the NJCAA District 2 championship Tuesday with a three day total of 870 (+6).

OC finished with three individuals in the top 10 with the #1 and #2 overall. Florian Moosneier finished the tournament at -4 (1st place), Brandon Smith shot a -1 (2nd place), and Tripp Wallace shot +2 (6th place). The Wranglers defeated four teams in the top 10 in the nation to take the championship.  OC defeated #2 Midland, #4 McLennan, #8 New Mexico JC and #10 Western Texas College.

This was the first of two qualifying tournaments for the Wranglers before the National Tournament. OC will play in the NJCAA Southwest Championship next week in Pottsboro, TX and then will play in the WJCAC Championship in Roswell, NM before heading to Lubbock, TX for the National Tournament.
