NTJCAC Softball Players of the Week (April 8-14)

The North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference has announced the Softball Players of the Week for the week of April 8-14.

Christina Garcia of Hill College is the NTJCAC Softball Position Player of the Week.

The freshman centerfielder from McAllen, TX hit .640 last week with a double, 5 home runs, 9 RBIs and 8 runs scored.

Katy Simon of Weatherford College is the NTJCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week.

The sophomore right-hander from Montgomery, TX made 5 appearances last week, going 4-0 with a save. In 20.2 innings pitched, she allowed just 2 earned runs on 14 hits with 8 strikeouts and picked up a win over No. 15 ranked McLennan.
