NTJCAC Softball Players of the Week (March 5)

The North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference has announced the Softball Players of the Week for the week of Feb. 24 – March 2.

MacKenzie Purcell of Temple College is the NTJCAC Softball Position Player of the Week.

The freshman second baseman from Kingwood, TX had an amazing .625 batting average for the week with a double, 2 triples and 6 RBIs. She drove in the winning run in extra innings against NCTC.

Jade Guzman of Vernon College is the NTJCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week.

The freshman from Vernon, TX went 1-0 last week in two appearances. In 10.2 innings pitched, she allowed only 3 earned runs and 9 hits with 7 strikeouts. She had a 1.125 ERA for the week with a .953 WHIP while only allowing a .222 opponent batting average.
