WJCAC Softball Players of the Week (April 30)

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference has announced the Softball Players of the Week for the week of April 21-27.

Amanda Gonzalez of Howard College is the WJCAC Softball Position Player of the Week.

The freshman shortstop from Santa Monica, CA hit .692 for the week with a double, 3 home runs (including a grand slam), 15 RBIs, 8 runs scored and 3 stolen bases.

Cori Turner of Odessa College is the WJCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week.

The freshman righthander from Georgetown, TX went 4-0 for the week. In 20 innings pitched, she allowed just 2 earned runs on 13 hits with 10 strikeouts and 5 walks.
