WJCAC Softball Players of the Week (Feb. 19-25)

The WJCAC Softball Players of the Week are Clarisa Zapata of Odessa College and Rayna Cruickshanks of Odessa College..

A sophomore third baseman from Houston, Texas, Zapata earned the WJCAC Position Player of the Week honors after batting .667 for the week with five home runs and 10 runs batted in. Overall, Zapata went 10-for-15 from the plate and drew a pair of walks and two stolen bases.

A sophomore from Olds, Alberta, Cruickshanks earned the Pitcher of the Week honors after winning both of her outings, including a complete game against Galveston. For the week, she scattered eight hits over 12 innings and struck out 16 batters.
