Barclay, Perez earn WJCAC Softball Players of the Week

Mason Barclay of Odessa College and Mia Perez of Odessa College were named the Western Junior College Athletic Conference's Softball Players of the Week.

A freshman rightfielder from Langley, Canada, Barcley was named the WJCAC Softball Position Player of the Week. For the week, she batted .741 with 2 doubles, a triple and 3 home runs. Overall, she recorded 13 RBI in the week and scored 8 runs.

A sophomore pitcher from El Paso, Texas, Perez was selected the WJCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week.

En route to going 2-0 in the week, she allowed just 4 hits through 9.1 innings of work while allowing just 1.5 runs per outing. Overall, Perez notched 12 strikeouts while walking just 5.
