Highlanders still #1 in NJCAA Rankings

The McLennan Highlanders, with an overall record of 53-1, continue to hold the top spot in this week's NJCAA Division I Softball Rankings.

The top five teams remained the same this week: McLennan, #1, 53-1; Northwest Florida State, #2, 48-3; Florida Southwestern State, #3, 49-5; Indian River State (Florida), #4, 47-6; and Temple (Texas), #5, 43-9.

Other Texas teams ranked: Paris, steady at #10, 39-9; Grayson, up one spot to #13, 32-13; Trinity Valley, up two spots to #16, 39-13; and Galveston, down two spots to #17, 33-12. San Jacinto and Odessa are receiving votes.

McLennan closes out the regular season with a 2 p.m. doubleheader against Blinn Wednesday in Brenham.
