Lovato, Johnson chosen WJCAC Softball Players of the Week.

Emma Lovato of Midland College and Jayci Johnson of Midland College were selected the Western Junior College Athletic Conference's Softball Players of the Week.

A freshman pitcher from Farmington, New Mexico, Lovato was named the WJCAC Pitcher of the Week. She went 2-0 as a starter. While working 12 innings across three games in the pitcher's circle, she tossed two shutouts and allowed just 4 hits while striking out 12.

A freshman third baseman from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Johnson was the WJCAC Position Player of the Week. She posted a batting average of .583 during the week, with a pair of doubles, 7 RBI and 5 runs scored. She also drew a pair of walks.
