Williams, Bean named NTJCAC Softball Players of the Week.

J.J. Williams of Grayson College and Lilly Bean of Weatherford College were selected the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Softball Players of the Week.

A freshman pitcher from Lawton, Oklahoma, Williams was named the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week. She pitched in three out of Grayson's four games during the week, picking up a win in all three. In her first appearance, she threw a complete game shutout while striking out 6 and allowing only 2 hits. She finished off her week with a complete game win striking out 9. Overall, she worked 16 innings, allowing just 3 runs while fanning 18 batters.

A sophomore catcher from Kirkland, Washington, Bean was named the NTJCAC Position Player of the Week. She batted .846 during the week with 3 doubles, a home run and 9 RBI. She also scored 8 runs, drew a walk and stole 2 bases.
