Rodrigues, Jenkins claim NTJCAC Players of the Week awards

Emma Rodriguez of Grayson College and Makenzi Jenkins of McLennan Community College have been selected the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Players of the Week.

A sophomore outfielder from Little Elm, Texas, Rodrigues was named the NTJCAC Position Player of the Week. During the week, she batted .500 with a double, a triple and three home runs. She scored 6 runs and collected 6 RBI. Rodrigues had hits in all 5 of her games, including 3 multi-hit games.

A sophomore righthander from Cypress, Texas, Jenkins was named the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week. She pitched the final 6 innings of McLennan's 11-2 decision over Blinn that went 9 innings. In those 6 innings in the pitcher's circle, she allowed just 2 hits and no walks, while striking out 2.
