Women's Basketball Players of the Week (Jan. 25-31)

Region V has announced the Women's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Jan. 25-31.

The North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Taylor Jackson of Collin College. The 5-6 sophomore guard from Frisco, TX scored 37 points in two games last week. She was 14 of 29 from the field, 7 of 11 on 3-pointers, 2 of 3 on free throws, and added 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 steals. She is shooting 48.5 percent from the field and averaging 22.5 ppg in conference play.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Walnatia Wright of Midland College. The 6-2 sophomore post from August, GA scored 24 points with 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks in one game last week. She was 8 of 12 from the field with 8 free throws made.
