Region V Women's Basketball Player of the Week (Nov. 13)

Region V has announced the Women's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Nov. 4-10.

The North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Alena Johnson of Temple College.

The 5-5 sophomore guard from Rockwall, TX had 57 points, 10 assists, 8 rebounds and 3 steals in helping Temple to a 3-0 record last week. She shot 56 percent from the field and was 58 percent behind the 3-point line. She also made 80 percent of her free throws. She had a career-high 31 points against Coastal Bend College while going 11 of 15 from the field.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference will not select a player of the week until conference play begins.
