Region V Women's Basketball Players of the Week (Jan. 15)

Region V has announced the Women's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Jan. 6-12.

The North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Zoe Holmes of Cisco College.

The 5-5 sophomore forward from Austin, TX scored 45 points with 27 rebounds, 11 assists and 10 steals in 3 games played last week. She recorded two double-doubles with 18 points and 12 rebounds against McLennan, and 15 points and 10 rebounds against Southwestern Christian. She was 18 of 36 from the field and 11 of 15 from the free throw line.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Grace Beasley from Midland College.

The 5-7 freshman guard from Melbourne, Australia had 39 points, 21 rebounds and 8 assists in two games played last week, averaging a double-double (19.5 ppg and 10.5 rpg). She had a game-high 26 points against nationally-ranked Odessa and shot 52 percent from the field and 57 percent from 3-point range.
