Region V Women's Basketball Players of the Week (Jan. 29)

Region V has announced the Women's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Jan. 20-26.

The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Manna Mensah of Grayson College.

5-8 freshman guard from Toronto, Canada scored 42 points with 12 rebounds and 6 assists in two games played last week. She was 14 of 26 from the field and a perfect 11 of 11 from the free-throw line.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Ogechi Nwodo of Midland College.

The 6-2 sophomore post from Spring, TX played in two games last week, scoring 29 points with 21 rebounds, averaging a double-double (14.5 ppg and 10.5 rpg) for the week. She also had 4 blocked shots and was 12 of 21 from the field.
