Region V Women's Basketball Players of the Week (Feb. 5)

Region V has announced the Women's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Jan. 27 – Feb. 2.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Gabbie Green of South Plains College.

The 5-7 sophomore guard from Bellville, TX finished the week with 56 points and 10 assists in two games. She scored a career-high 34 points at No. 22 Midland, shooting over 63 percent from the field and 50 percent from the 3-point line. Shot over 50 percent from the floor against No. 15 Odessa and was a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line to go along with six assists.

There were no nominations for Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
