Region V Women's Basketball Players of the Week (Nov. 19)

Region V has announced the Women's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Nov. 10-16.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Canton Moreno of Frank Phillips College.

The 5-7 shooting guard from Amarillo, TX averaged 27.3 points per game last week while shooting 38 percent from 3-point range. She was also 19 of 24 from the free throw line and had 13 steals in 4 games played.

The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Starr Jacobs of Temple College.

The The 6-0 freshman forward from Dallas, TX averaged a double-double as Temple College went 2-0 last week with 25 ppg and 11.5 rpg while shooting 80% from the free throw line and 74% from the field. She also averaged 3 assists, 3.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in the two wins.

The Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Jerrica Johnson of Mountain View College.

The 5-6 sophomore guard from Dallas, TX had a career-high points this season with 29 points and 10 rebounds against Paul Quinn JV. In four games, she averaged 15 points and 8.75 rebounds per game.
