Region V Women's Basketball Player of the Week (Feb. 11)

Region V has announced the Women's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Feb. 2-8.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Grace Beasley of Midland College.

The 5-7 sophomore guard from Melbourne, Australia averaged a double-double in two wins with 15.5 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game. She averaged 48 percent from the field, 42 percent on 3-pointers and 80 percent from the free throw line.

The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Anyssia Gibbs of Collin College.

The 5-11 sophomore guard from Apple Valley, CA averaged 12.5 points and 8.0 rebounds last week. In two games, she also had 8 assists, 6 blocked shots and 5 steals.

The Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Alana Lusk of Cedar Valley College.

The 5-7 sophomore guard from Dallas, TX had 16 points and 4 assists in two games played last week. She went 10 of 16 from the field and 4 of 6 on 3-pointers.
