Region V Women's Basketball Players of the Week (Feb. 18)

Region V has announced the Women's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Feb. 9-15.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Alexys Grice of Frank Phillips College.

The 5-9 freshman guard from College Station, TX hit the game tying 3-pointer versus Clarendon to force overtime and led all scorers with 31 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals. For the week, she averaged 26.5 points per game, 5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 4.5 steals.

The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Lucy Ibeh of Collin College.

The 6-0 sophomore forward from Nigeria had 28 points and 12 rebounds against Temple, then added 23 points and 12 rebounds against SWCC. She was 22 of 36 from the field.
