Region V Women's Basketball Players of the Week (Feb. 25)

Region V has announced the Women's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Feb. 16-22.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Ella Tofaeono of Midland College.

The 6-3 sophomore post from Sydney, Australia averaged a double-double in two games last week at 12 points per game and 12 rebounds per game.

The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Jane Asinde of Grayson College.

The 6-3 freshman forward from Uganda averaged a double-double in three games last week with 20.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. She was 17 of 29 from the field and 26 of 33 from the free-throw line.
