Harris Named Third Team All-American

Dallas College Mountain View women's basketball's Germari Harris was named a National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Third Team All-American.

A 5-foot-7 sophomore guard from Tulsa, Harris averaged 22.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.5 steals per game. Voted the Dallas Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year, she scored in double figures in 16 of the 18 games as the Lions went 10-8. She had 20 or more points in 13 games, including the last eight. Harris had a career-high 43 points in a win at Houston Community College Dec. 2 when she went 15 of 25 from the floor.

Harris had 10 or more assists in five games, with a career-best 12 in a win over National Park College Nov. 30. She had four or more steals in 10 games, and recorded five double-doubles.

She was named the DAC Player of the Week twice.
