McLennan's Nephew named NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American

McLennan Women's Basketball guard Mersadez Nephew was named an NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Honorable Mention All-American.

The sophomore from Willis, Texas, helped the squad claim a North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference for the first time in 18 years. Nephew played in all 31 McLennan games, averaging 15.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.2 steals steals per game on the season.

During conference play, she averaged 19.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 2.3 steals per game. She was an NTJCAC All-Conference and an NJCAA Region V All-Region selection.
