DAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week (Sept. 17)

NJCAA Region V has announced the Division III Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 8-14.

Brookhaven College forward Taylor Nelson is the Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

The freshman forward from Arlington, TX put on a player-of-the-match performance in Brookhaven's conference opener against North Lake College. Nelson was relentless in her attacking and rewarded herself with a 12-minute hat trick in the 10th, 13th and 22nd minutes. Not to be content with just three, Taylor then added a fourth goal to take her season total to 7. Nelson's fine display helped the Lady Bears maintain a perfect start to their season. She ended the game with 8 shots, 5 on goal and 4 goals.
