DAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week (Oct. 1)

NJCAA Region V has announced the Division III Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 22-28.

Brookhaven College goalkeeper Vanessa Villanueva is the Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

The sophomore goalie from Mesquite, TX put on a fine display of goalkeeping between the sticks for the Lady Bears last week. Vanessa came up huge in a double OT draw against Mountain View with one versus one saves in both periods of overtime to keep a clean sheet for Brookhaven. She would then bring that form into the game against Eastfield and come up with two more key saves to ensure that Brookhaven would end the week with no goals conceded. Vanessa faced 6 shots on goal and made 6 saves and she has only 1 goal in conference play.
