WJCAC Volleyball Players of the Week (Sept. 3)
The Western Junior College Athletic Conference has announced the Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of Aug. 25-30.
Frank Phillips College setter Jordan Kellogg is the WJCAC Offensive Player of the Week.
The 5-6 sophomore from Amarillo, TX had 110 assists in 9 sets played for an average of 12.2 assists/set. She also added 14 kills, 34 digs and 4 block assists. After being named to the All-Tournament team at the Rose City Classic, she continued her great play with two double-doubles and 7 service aces.
Frank Phillips College libero Bailey Avila is the WJCAC Defensive Player of the Week.
The 5-7 freshman from Corinth, TX had 91 digs in 13 sets played for an average of 7.0 digs/set. She recorded 31 digs in a match against Coastal Bend. She also added 18 assists and 2 service aces for the week.
