Urbanska, Carrillo named NTJCAC Volleyball Players of the Week

Weronika Urbanska of Weatherford College and Addison Carrillo of Weatherford College were named the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Volleyball Players of the Week.

A 6-foot, freshman outside hitter from Warsaw, Poland, Urbanska was the chosen as the NTJCAC's Offensive Player of the Week. She hit .220 over 4 matches, going 3-1 against 4 teams ranked in the top 14. She added 18 kills and only 4 errors hitting .311 against No. 5 TVCC and another 18 in the Coyotes' win against Daytona State. Weronika averaged more than 3 kills per set as well as over 3 digs per set - totaling 52 digs across 17 sets. Additionally, she led the team in service aces with 8, including five against No. 2 Miami Dade.

A 5-3 sophomore setter from San Antonio, Carrillo was the NTJCAC Defensive Player of the Week. She led the defense all weekend, amassing 87 digs, including a weekend-high 27 digs in a 5-set win over fifth-ranked Trinity Valley. She averaged 5.1 digs per set during the weekend and chipped in 19 assists and eight aces.
