DAC Baseball Players of the Week (Feb. 12-18)

The Dallas Athletic Conference has announved its Baseball Players of the Week for Feb. 12-18.

The DAC Players of the Week are Bryan Adams of Dallas College-Eastfield and Jaquavius Davis of Dallas College-Cedar Valley.

Dallas College-Eastfield's Bryan Adams was chosen as the DAC Pitcher of the Week. A sophomore right-handed pitcher from Andrews, Texas, he pitched five scoreless innings, and allowed two hits and no walks, while striking out eight batters in a 4-3 loss to NJCAA Division II Des Moines Area Community College Saturday.

It was Adams' third appearance of the season. He has one save, has not allowed a run, and has 15 strikeouts this year.

]Davis was selected as the DAC Offensive Player of the Week.

A sophomore outfielder from Dallas/DeSoto High School, Davis batted .500 (7-for-14) with a double, a triple, five RBI, four stolen bases and a walk in four games last week. He had a .714 slugging percentage and .533 on-base percentage, and scored five runs as Cedar Valley split a four-game series with Hesston College. He hit safely in all four games, collecting two hits in each of the first two games. He went 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored in a 9-5 win Friday. He was 2-for-4 with a double, and drove in three runs in Friday's nightcap – an 11-9 loss.

In the first game Saturday, Davis was 2-for-3 with two RBI in a 15-5 victory. He had a hit in three plate appearances in the series finale.

Davis is batting .440 with six RBI and six stolen bases this season.
