NTJCAC Baseball Players of the Week (Feb. 26-March 4)

The NTJCAC Baseball Players of the Week are Michael Minaya of Ranger College and Joey Baran of Weatherford College.

A sophomore from the Dominican Republic, Minaya won the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week honors after turning in a solid outing in the Rangers' win over Clarendon College. En route to collecting the win, Minaya scattered five hits through five innings of work. He finished with eight strikeouts in the 9-4 victory.

A sophomore catcher from Austin, Texas, Baran was the recipient of the NTJCAC Position Player of the Week honors. For the week, he batted .667 with a pair of doubles and home runs and five runs batted in. He also scored six runs.
