NTJCAC Baseball Players of the Week (March 5-11)
The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference has announced its selections for Baseball Players of the Week for March 5-11.
The NTJCAC Players of the Week are Chase Brown of McLennan Community College and Caleb Bunch of Ranger College.
A sophomore infielder from The Colony, Texas, Brown earned the NTJCAC Position Player of the Week by turning in a perfect offensive outing in the Highlanders' 9-8 win over San Jac. In the game, he went 3-for-3 from the plate with three doubles, three RBI and two walks. He also scored a pair of runs.
A sophomore from Keller, Texas, Bunch was selected the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week after throwing a complete game in the Rangers' win over Vernon College. IN his outing, he yielded just allowed just five hits in seven innings on the bump. Overall, he struck out nine VC batters.
