DAC Baseball Players of the Week (March 12-18)

The Dallas Athletic Conference has announced its Player of the Week selections for March 12-18.

Dallas College Eastfield baseball player Manny Moore was selected the Dallas Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

A sophomore third baseman from Van, Texas, Moore batted .571 with two doubles, a home run, three RBI, three stolen bases, three runs scored and a walk in a pair of victories over National Junior College Athletic Association Division III No. 10 Joliet (Ill.) Junior College. From the leadoff spot, he went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, two RBI and a stolen base in an 11-3 win over the Wolves.

Moore is hitting .380 with two home runs, 15 RBI, eight doubles, two triples and 10 stolen bases this season.

Dallas College Cedar Valley's Antonio Sabala was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

A sophomore left hander from Spring, Texas, Sabala tossed a complete game, striking out a career-high 14 batters, while scattering five hits, allowing one run and two walks in a 5-1 win at Arlington Baptist University. The seven-inning complete game effort was his second appearance of the season.

Sabala is 1-0 with a 2.25 earned run average in eight innings on the mound this season.

As a hitter, Sabala batted .364 with a double, six RBI, a walk and four runs scored in three games as a right fielder and designated hitter.
