McLennan softball remains No. 7 in NJCAA rankings

McLennan softball remains No. 7 in NJCAA rankings

McLennan remains No. 7 in this week's NJCAA Division I Softball Poll. McLennan has an overall record of 17-5 and are 4-0 in conference play.

Grayson, a conference opponent of McLennan, remains at No. 1 with a record of 19-3 overall and 4-0 in conference. Northwest Florida State stays No. 2 with a 30-2 record, followed by Florida SouthWestern staying at No. 3 with a 17-3 record. Odessa (Texas) moved up one spot to No. 4 with a record of 18-3, and. Wallace State-Hanceville (Alabama) dropped one spot to No. 5 with a 15-3 record. Walters State (Tennessee) continues to sit at No. 6 with a 16-0 record.

Other Texas schools in poll: Galveston (19-3), up five spots to No. 13; and San Jacinto (14-8), down four spots to No. 16. Weatherford is receiving votes.

McLennan returns to action Wednesday, traveling to Brenham for a 2 p.m. doubleheader at Blinn.
