Bean, Reyes claim NTJCAC Women's Softball Players of the Week honors

Lilly Bean of Weatherford College and Katia Reyes of McLennan Community College were named the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Softball Players of the Week.

A sophomore catcher from Kirkland, Washington, Bean was selected the NTJCAC Offensive Player of the Week. She batted .556 for the week with 3 home runs and 11 runs batted in. She also scored 6 runs and 4 walks.

A sophomore pitcher for Weslaco, Texas, Reyes was named the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week. She played in all 7 games this week; Katie picked up 9-1 run-rule win over Angelina allowing 1 hit, 1 earned run and 1 walk while striking out 5 in 5.0 innings; She picked up 12-1 run-rule win over San Jacinto allowing 3 hits, 1 earned run, and 1 walk while striking out 4 in 5.0 innings; She also picked up 2-0 win over Trinity Valley allowing 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 12 in 7 innings.
