WJCAC Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week (Oct. 30-Nov. 5)

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference has announced its women's volleyball Players of the Week for Oct. 31 – Nov. 5.

The WJCAC women's volleyball Players of the Week are Allyah Tokelau of New Mexico Military Institute and Mio Yamamoto of New Mexico Military Institute.

A 5-9 sophomore outside hitter from Vineyard, Utah, Allyah Tokelau was tabbed the WJCAC Offensive Player of the Week. In the week, she helped lead NMMI to the regional tournament title with a win over No. 10 New Mexico Junior College. She finished with seven digs, one solo block and four block assists, while posting 31 kills and just eight errors in eight sets.

A 5-5 sophomore libero from Chigasaki, Kanagawa, Japan, Yamamoto was named the Defensive Player of the Week. In her eight sets, she registered 49 digs and nine assists. She also posted nine service aces.
