WJCAC Baseball Players of the Week (Feb. 5-11)

The WJCAC Players of the Week are Coleman Junell of Frank Phillips College and Robert De Jesus of Clarendon College.

A sophomore right-hander from Amarillo, Texas, Junell was named the WJCAC Pitcher of the Week after turning in a stellar outing for the Plainsmen. En route to going 1-0 in the week, he scattered five hits through five innings of work and struck out 10 of the 16 batters he face. He allowed just one run in the winning effort.

A freshman shortstop from the Dominican Republic, De Jesus helped Clarendon go 3-1 in the week by carrying a big stick. Overall, he batted .471, with two doubles, a triple and three home runs. De Jesus finished the week with seven RBI and scored 10 runs. He posted an On-Base Percentage of .550 and an OPS of 1,785.
