Highlanders, Wranglers split twinbill

Highlanders, Wranglers split twinbill

The Cisco Wranglers and McLennan Highlanders split today's conference doubleheader in Cisco.
 
Cisco took game one 6-0 with Clayton Freshcorn taking the loss on the mound for the Highlanders.
 
The Wranglers scored one in the bottom of the first as Damien Whitfield tripled and scored on a ground out by Luke Smith.
 
Three more Cisco runs scored in the second. Dylan Broadway and Tariq Freeny both singled. Whitfield then singled to score Broadway. Both runners advanced on a balk, and Idelfonso Garcia wingled to score Freeny and Whitfield.
 
The Wranglers added another run in the fourth as Jack Cue singled, advanced on a passed ball and scored on a double by Roe Forrest.
 
The final run came in the bottom of the sixth as Broadway singled , advanced to third on an error and scored on a passed ball.
 
McLennan bounced back to take the nightcap 9-4 with Kade Bing getting the win and John Carmichael picking up the save.
 
The Highlanders scored three runs in the top of the first. Daniel Harden walked and Mac Rose singled. Aidan Kuni also walked, loading the bases. Deiten Lachance singled to score Harden, and Rose scored on a sacrifice fly by Brodey Williams. Lachance then scored on a sacrifice fly by Sam Flores.
 
Cisco scored on run in the bottom of the second inning. Cole Clepper doubled and Whitfield walked. Freeny then tripled to score Clepper.
 
The Wranglers added two runs in the fourth. Jake Mueller lead off with a single, and Dylan Broadway followed with a two-run homer.
 
McLennan added two more runs in the sixth. Landon Underhill doubled, advanced on a wild pitch and scored on a sacrifice fly by Brecken Menuet. Harden and Rose both singled. Harden then scored on a sacrifice fly by Kuni.
 
Another Highlander run scored in the seventh. Walker Freeman walked and Underhill singled. Menuet then singled to score Freeman.
 
McLennan added another run in the eighth as Kuni doubled and scored on a an error.
 
The Wranglers final run came in the bottom of the eighth. Cue and Clepper both singled. Cue then scored on a sacrifice fly by Broadway.
 
McLennan rounded out the scoring with two runs in the ninth. Underhill singled and Menuet reached on an error. Both runners advanced on defensive indifference and Underhill scored on a wild pitch. Kuni then doubled to score Harden.
